Introduction

Hi, my name is Mickey Horvath and as the host of “The Career Guy” podcast and the creator of this website “thecareerguy.ca,” I am using this blog as an introduction to who I am and what the purpose of this website is.   

The overall intent of this website is to assist people in career development. This is furnished by all the interviews from the career guy podcast. The podcast is where I am interviewing a variety of guests and letting them share their stories about their career path giving the listener a bit more insight into what certain careers look like.   Experience is such a good teacher.  The focus of this is to inform listeners and perhaps assist them in making better decisions regarding their career.

I intend to bring a variety of people in diverse fields on as guests. With that, I am seeking out individuals that are very knowledgeable in this area of career development and education that can provide more insight as well.  

The episodes I plan to release are every week through the website and social media. I do have a repository of interviews built up on Simplecast which feeds Spotify and Apple music if you would like previews of what is coming up.

I plan to release a blog on a bi-weekly basis (beginning and middle of the month). The purpose of these blogs is to recap what I have learned from the interviews and from books that I have read in connection with the research that I have done. The overall intent of this website then is to use this as a resource that may help people in career development.
